Can I ask you to pray for my husband and mom today? Phil is having a follow up colonoscopy as part of his ongoing cancer care. We are in Louisville and are praying for clear results! ❤️

Mom @marsha_downey is having surgery in Lexington to remove a cancerous kidney tumor. She was just taken back to surgery. I’m so thankful Lee is there with her. Doctors believe the surgery will be all the necessary treatment…we are thankful!! Once Phil is home and settled, I’ll head to Lexington to stay with mom. 💕

2016 was a year of transition - of the Lord guiding our family “home” to Somerset. Now, ten years on the other side of our “new normal,” I can confidently say we wouldn’t go back. The people we are now are closer to God and one another, more compassionate, and grateful. The Lord doesn’t waste a circumstance, and He used every moment of pre-2016 to grow us, challenge us, and draw us into a deeper dependence on Him. Most importantly, I’m glad Zach is no longer in middle school 😵‍💫😬🤪

I used a laminator at work today. It reminded me that in 1999 I took a three-hour college course called “Technology in Education.” Good thing I’m proficient in the laminator, overhead projector/transparencies, and floppy disks! Aren’t we thankful for all the advances in technology?!

@lydia.grace.dean is a “bonus” blessing from my time @nobts I met her when she was a middle schooler and have had the privilege of praying for and encouraging her the last several years. When she texted to see if we could meet for dinner while she’s in town for @crossconference , I was delighted! We enjoyed hot brown dip at the @brownhotel and the sweetest conversation. I’m proud of you, Lydia!
